RESPONSIBLE EVENTS

Bringing Londons natural spaces to life through pioneering responsible events for the community and beyond

Impact reporting

To be fully transparent about our achievements as well as our challenges we have created a comprehensive impact report. This will assess our impact on both people and the planet through carbon auditing, testimonials, feedback and reflection against targets and benchmarks.

SUSTAINABLE FOOD & DRINK BRANDS

Our food system makes up over a third of our global emissions through how we produce, process and package food. Food waste is responsible for another 10% of our global emissions. We have chosen sustainable food partner Arch to deliver our alpine menu. Across our drinks menu and cocktail list we have chosen sustainable and B Corp brands as much as possible. B Corps have a purpose beyond profits and are part of the B Corp movement building an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economic system for all people and the planet - we are going to be sharing more of their stories across the event!

ELECTRIC GENERATorS

We have teamed up with Green Voltage to deliver zero emission energy. The electric generators will power our lighting, sound, fridges, and water and they are charged regularly using 100% renewable energy.

COMPOST LOOS

The Compost Toilet Company are providing us with sustainable, sanitary, compost loos which eliminate sewage pollution and the need for fertilisers. They also save an average 7 litres of water for every flush, thats approximately 250,000 litres of water saved across the entire event.

ZERO WASTE TO LANDFILL

We are committed to sending zero waste to landfill. By using all Vegware products across our food and drink, all of our waste can be collected together and made in compost. We are choosing suppliers who use cans, cartons and bottles, these will be recycled with the council.

CIRCULAR FURNITURE & DECORATIONS

Our world is centred around extraction, but we believe in giving materials a new life as much as possible to preserve our natural resources. For our furniture, we buy used or sustainably sourced materials and up-cycle them in our workshop. Christmas doesn’t have to be about new products and overconsumption, our tipis will be filled with vintage decorations, potted rental Christmas trees, ski sculptures,  natural foliage and much more.

CLIMATE COMMUNICATIon

Maybe more important than how we do things, is explaining why we do it. We believe in talking about our climate emergency as well as the solutions available. We will be inviting climate groups and sustainable brands to hold events across community mornings to educate people and inspire action. If you have a sustainability event idea, please head over to our community page to apply.
